Kim often returns to the world of her childhood, the wilderness, the mountains and her uncles’ farms of Oregon. She grew up with the love of nature, picking huckleberries, blackberries and chanterelles splashing in wildwood creeks, bottle fed baby lambs and pigs as well as a mother who taught, inspired and surrounded her with her artistic talents.Today she continues to be inspired by textures, colors and shapes, and these find abstract expression on her canvas. While her art comes from her own moods and emotions, her favorite loves are animals with attitude. “I try to express being in the mind of the animals and feel the happiness inside myself and believe happiness speaks out from the picture…right to your heart!!” Kim loves to make mischief with papers, trinkets & paints, so join her on her flights of fancy and make some creative mischief with her.
